Russell and Onnie Firth had a dream. Over fifteen years ago, after many years of working in the funeral industry in Australia and overseas, they realised this dream. They opened their own funeral home, solely owned and managed by their family, based on good business principles and Christian family values. From very humble beginnings in a small office at Miami, this business grew over a period of time to become one of the largest and most successful funeral homes on the Gold Coast.

In 2002 Russell and Onnie, having decided to sell their business, started on a quest to find new owners who would continue the values and traditions of care for the families that they had served for so many years, people who would maintain the business in which they had invested so many years of their lives.

In October of that year they found the people they were looking for, sold their group of companies to Rowan Steer and Anthony James and moved to Melbourne to enjoy their retirement.The decision of the new owners was to keep the Russell Firth name and traditions and commit themselves to the same business principles and standards of service and care with which the Firth family had served so many Gold Coast families over the last fifteen years.

Our business is, and will remain a completely Australian-owned Queensland family business that will service the entire Gold Coast, the Hinterland and Brisbane.
